Franciscan Father Ibrahim Faltas reflects on the tragedy in Gaza after a building previously damaged by an Israeli missile strike collapsed shortly after midnight on September 16. At least 21 people died. He focuses in 'L’Osservatore Romano' on a mother and child found dead in an embrace. Fr Faltas adds that "about 100 people remain beneath the massive piles of debris; more than 20 have already been pulled out, and over half of them are children."

FBI targeted traditional minded priests and laity. (Here)
In July 5 FBI employees were fired over the illegal surveillance. NOW, to be totally honest, despite shocking what they did, me in particular, I was happy the tried, not because I knew there wasn’t anything there, BUT i was happy because whosoever did the infiltration was going to converted once they saw the truth and beauty of tradition.

A bomb exploded outside the Greek Orthodox cathedral in Hama, Syria.
The videos from the scene show the aftermath inside and outside St George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Hama after a bomb exploded on 13 September, on the eve of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The blast shattered windows and damaged the church and nearby cars, but no one was killed or injured. Syrian authorities opened an investigation. No group has claimed responsibility.

Last Sunday, there was another bomb attack on a church in Syria. This time, however, no one was killed or injured.
Security camera footage shows a masked man placing the bomb underneath a car parked directly in front of the Greek Orthodox St. George’s Cathedral in Hama. The bomb exploded later that evening. September 14 (the day after the attack) is traditionally celebrated in the Greek Orthodox Church as the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross.
There was no church service taking place in the cathedral at the time, which likely saved many lives. However, the church was damaged in the attack, and many windows were shattered by the explosion. Children were playing in the church courtyard nearby, but they too were unharmed.
Nevertheless, the shock runs deep. Christians see the attack as a clear signal directed against them. Since the attack on St. Elias Church in Damascus last year, in which 22 Christians were killed, there have been repeated attacks and threats against Syria’s shrinking …Ibindi

Leo XIV accepts a green glass “Sphere of Humanity”.
On 2 September, during his General Audience at the Vatican, Leo XIV received the “Sphere of Humanity” from the U.S.-based Saint Peter for Humanity foundation. Hand-blown by Venini in Murano, the large green glass sphere symbolizes humanity as unique, fragile and irreplaceable and contains four handwritten passages from the encyclical “Magnifica Humanitas.” The gift makes its case for human craftsmanship in the age of AI — perhaps not as intended.

9 Days Novena Prayer to Mary Undoer of Knots

Patron Saint of knots, difficult problems
About Mary, Undoer of Knots
Early in the sixteenth century, Hieronymus Ambrosius Langenmantel commissioned the painting of Mary, Undoer or Untier of knots for St. Peter am Perlach Church in Augsburg, Germany. The artist, Johann Georg Melchior Schmidtner, was inspired by the story of the man’s grandfather, Wolfgang Langenmantel, a German nobleman, and his wife Sophie. The couple’s lives were falling apart and they were on the verge of separation. In an effort to save their marriage, Wolfgang decided to get advice from a Jesuit priest, Father Rem, who lived in a monastery near Augsburg, Germany. They prayed together, raising up to Our Lady “the bond of marriage,” praying that “all knots be loosed and resolved.” After several meetings and many prayers to Our Lady, Wolfgang and Sophie reunited.
The painting portrays Mary dressed in a blue mantle, with …Ibindi

9 Days Novena Prayer to Mary Undoer of Knots
Day 1 – Mary Undoer of Knots Novena
Let us begin, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Virgin Mary, Mother of fair love, Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of a child in need, Mother whose hands never cease to serve your beloved children because they are moved by the divine love and immense mercy that exist in your heart: cast your compassionate eyes upon me and see the snarl of knots that exists in my life.
You know very well my desperation, my pain, and how I am bound up by these knots. Mary, Mother to whom God entrusted the undoing of the knots in the lives of His children, I entrust into your hands the ribbon of my life. No one, not even the Evil One himself, can take it away from your precious care. In your hands, there is no knot that cannot be undone. Powerful Mother, by your grace and intercessory power with your Son and my Liberator, Jesus, take into your hands today this knot.

Leo XIV has not responded to an audience request for the Roman rite pilgrimage to Rome.
The organisers of the pilgrimage “to the See of Peter” in late October requested a papal audience nine months ago, reports Edward Pentin on his Substack-Account.
The request was made in a letter signed by two lay members of the organisation. It was personally delivered by Bishop Athanasius Schneider when he met Leo XIV last December.
In the same letter, the organisers asked for permission to celebrate a Pontifical Mass at the Altar of the Chair in St Peter’s Basilica, as had happened several times in the past.
After repeated pleas for a response, the Secretariat of State on 7 August declined permission for the Mass in St Peter’s Basilica. No reason was given for the decision.
The Mass will instead be held at the Basilica of St Mary Major on 24 October. Bishop Athanasius Schneider will be the celebrant.

Leo XIV Signs New Defense of Religious Pluralism… But What Happened to Catholicism?
[remnantnewspaper] By: Robert Morrison
In a new document marking sixty years of Nostra Aetate, Leo XIV and three Vatican dicasteries defend interreligious dialogue, religious pluralism, and a “fraternal society capable of accepting differences.” But hold on... Can Catholicism affirm that Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life while simultaneously treating religious pluralism as a positive goal? The Vatican’s own language increasingly makes the theological problem with Vatican II impossible to ignore.
On September 16, Leo XIV added his signature to a document produced by the Dicasteries for the Doctrine of the Faith, for the Promotion of Christian Unity, and for Interreligious Dialogue: “A Journey of Hope: Sixty Years of Interreligious Dialogue and Fraternity in the Light of the Conciliar Declaration Nostra Aetate.” The sixty-paragraph document outlines the history of Vatican II’s Nostra Aetate and …Ibindi
