US Justice Department: "Prosecute Any Nun Who Still Wears the Veil"

Justice Department prosecutors in the Biden administration joked about prosecuting Catholic nuns who attended a pro-Trump rally, according to text messages released by Senator Chuck Grassley and reported by DailyWire.com on April 29.
Prosecutor Molly Gaston wrote after viewing a photo of nuns wearing habits at the rally: “I would like to take a special assignment of finding and prosecuting them.”
Prosecutor Joseph Cooney replied, “I’m with you,” adding that he would like to prosecute “any nun who still wears the head habit.”
Grassley obtained the messages during an investigation into Justice Department conduct and condemned the remarks as evidence of bias against religious Americans.

Now she hurried home from work that night as soon as she arrived.
She found that pretty snake she’d taken in had been revived.
“Take me in, oh tender woman ,
“Take me in, for heaven’s sake,
“Take me in oh tender woman,” sighed the snake.
Now she clutched him to her bosom, “You’re so beautiful,” she cried.
“But if I hadn’t brought you in by now you might have died.”
Now she stroked his pretty skin and then she kissed and held him tight .
But instead of saying thanks, that snake gave her a vicious bite.
…“I saved you,” cried that woman.
“And you've bit me even, why?
“You know your bite is poisonous and now I’m going to die.”
“Oh shut up, silly woman,” said the reptile with a grin,
“You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in.”

Carmelite community of Campiégne martyrs to close: The historic Carmelite community of Compiègne, which is now based in Jonquières, France, is closing. The six remaining nuns have announced that they will be leaving due to the ageing nature of the community and a lack of new vocations. Founded in 1641, the community is best known for the sixteen Carmelite martyrs of Compiègne who were executed during the French Revolution in 1794 and canonised by Pope Francis in 2024. The monastery in Jonquières has been home to the community since 1992. The nuns are leaving over the coming months, not all at once.

Carmelite community of Campiègne martyrs to close

The six remaining cloistered Carmelite nuns in Jonquières, France, are closing their historic community, ending a 400-year legacy of prayer ... and martyrdom.
It's a sad consequence of the lack of religious vocations. Bishop Jacques Benoit-Gonnin of Beauvais, Noyon, and Senlis (France) announced on April 21 the closure of the Compiègne
Carmelite community, located some six miles from the original site, in Jonquières, since 1992.
"As age advances, numbers decrease, vocations are slow in coming, and external reinforcements are impossible to find, our Carmelite Sisters of Compiègne have decided to close their community," the bishop explained. Six nuns currently remain at the monastery. They will leave gradually over the coming months.
Famous martyrs
The Carmel of the Annunciation, founded in Compiègne in 1641 and following the Rule of St. Teresa of Avila, was the 53rd foundation in France at the time. It had a unique impact, giving the Church 16 holy martyrs.

"Latin Mass Cannot Be Pushed Aside" - Benedictine Abbot Primate

Among Benedictines, the Roman Rite and the Novus Ordo coexist very peacefully side by side, said Abbot Primate Jeremias Schröder, a German Benedictine, in an interview with KNA on 30 April.
Throughout the order, there are around ten abbeys that celebrate the old rite, mostly in France. The majority belong to the Congregation of Solesmes. Fontgombault Abbey was the first of a group of monasteries that celebrate according to the old rite and they are fully integrated into the Solesmes congregation. Most monasteries in that congregation use the Novus Ordo.
In addition, there is Le Barroux Abbey and its daughter foundations, which were initially oriented towards the Lefebvrist movement. Following the episcopal consecrations in 1988, the monastery returned to full communion with Rome is now under the authority of Abbot Schröder.
He also mentioned the community in Norcia, Italy (pictured).

The church Saint-Cyriaque in Montenach, France, was severely damaged by fire on April 30. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.

Prevost exercises his spurious Masonic pontificate in a synodal manner.
In the Anti-Church led by Prevost, all false religions are considered equal.
The apostate Robert Prevost: "Everything we hear today regarding synodality, we were already doing in Chulucanas back in the 1980s."
That is why this apostate and sacrilegious Marxist priest accompanied shamans to worship Pachamama.
The Church has condemned religious indifferentism; it is for this reason that it condemned Freemasonry. This religious indifferentism—which violates the First Commandment—is considered the greatest blasphemy against the Most Holy Trinity, drawing down the most severe punishments upon humanity. These parodies of invalid blessings are, in reality, curses.

Let us also recall that, under the pontificate of Pope Benedict XVI (March 6, 2010), the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith broke with the Anglicans:
Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith
The decision of the Church of England to permit the ordination of women bishops was a step which would have a serious negative impact on full union with the Church
Pontifical Council for promoting Christian unity
The Anglicans themselves requested to put a hold on the meetings geared toward their full union with the Catholic Church in order to bless unions between persons of the same sex

Robert Prevost committed a sin of malice: Let us recall that she—disguised as a bishop—guided Prevost in "prayer" after the heretic—disguised as a priest—profaned the Tomb of Saint Peter.

THE ISLANDER
@IslanderWORLD
Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson — Colin Powell’s own chief of staff said the quiet part... “We lied about Vietnam, we lied about Iraq, we lied about Afghanistan, we lied about Somalia, we lied about Libya.” Then the hammer: “We put more small arms and medium arms into the hands of terrorist groups the world over by not securing Gaddafi’s weapons caches in Libya than any arms merchant has ever put into the world.” He didn’t stop there. Same story in Iraq — Saddam’s arsenals left wide open because “we didn’t have enough troops,” handed straight to Al Qaeda and ISIS. A top insider from the heart of the machine confessed: America doesn’t fight terrorism. It manufactures it, then lies about it for decades. The blowback isn’t accidental but policy. Natural consequences don’t forget who armed the monsters.

17 babies were left to die after born-alive abortions in Alberta last year - LifeSite

Wed Apr 29, 2026 - 2:56 pm EDT
(
LifeSiteNews) — There is a particular kind of sentence that does not require embellishment. It does not need adjectives. It does not benefit from rhetorical inflation.
It simply needs to be stated plainly – and then be allowed to do its work:
Seventeen babies were born alive in Alberta following labor-induced late-term abortions in 2025 and left to die.
That’s it. That’s the sentence.
Seventeen. Seventeen babies. Seventeen times. In Alberta. In 2025.
Born alive and then?
No life-sustaining intervention. No automatic presumption in favor of care. No clear, system-wide requirement that birth triggers a clinical reset. Instead, within the system administered by Alberta Health Services, the response is shaped in advance: a non-interventional pathway, established before the child is even born, and carried through after the child is. This is not a failure of the system; it is how the system is designed to function.
If that sounds implausible, it is only …

Factory Employee May Be Taken Any Moment Atlanta Georgian
A sensational arrest will be made in the Mary Phagan murder mystery within a few hours.
It will be based on the firm theory of the police and detectives that the strangled girl was never outside the factory of the National Pencil Company from the time she went in there for her pay Saturday noon until her dead and mutilated body was taken to the morgue early Sunday morning.
The detectives do not believe that Arthur Mullinax is guilty of the murder.
They do not believe that J. M. Gantt is guilty of the murder.
They do not place any dependence on the identifications of Gantt and Mullinax made by various persons before Chief of Detectives Lanford.
They are confident that the author of the terrible deed was a person who is not under arrest at the present time. They know his name. They have talked with him. They have his story of …

When Paul came to Antioch in Pisidia, he said in the synagogue: "My brothers, children of the family of Abraham, and those others among you who are God-fearing, to us this word of salvation has been sent.
The inhabitants of Jerusalem and their leaders failed to recognize him, and by condemning him they fulfilled the oracles of the prophets that are read sabbath after sabbath.
For even though they found no grounds for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him put to death,
and when they had accomplished all that was written about him, they took him down from the tree and placed him in a tomb.
But God raised him from the dead,

40 points on the upcoming SSPX consecrations. Worth reading!

unamsanctamcatholicam.blogspot.com

Forty Theses on the SSPX

The news as of late has simply been dominated by the spectre of the impending SSPX consecrations in July. I have hitherto avoided any discussion of the matter, as I don't follow SSPX news nor do I have any history with the Society, for good or ill. I came to Tradition apart from them and have never found them to be an integral part of my own spiritual journey. And I certainly do not view them as an escape hatch in case things get bad enough, nor do I see them as standard-bearers of the Trad movement, so I don't feel that invested in whatever happens in July.
Nevertheless, I do realize this is important for many and several people have asked my opinion, so I thought it might be wise to get my thoughts out—although, I should warn you, this is far from systematic, which has compelled me to present my thoughts rather as a miscellany of theses rather than a single comprehensive "argument" (so as you read, keep in mind I am making no single argument, but rather throwing out discussion points). …

To put the controversy in perspective, it is helpful to review the thinking of Rome just a few years back:
“I am of the opinion, to be sure, that the old rite should be granted much more generously to all those who desire it. It’s impossible to see what could be dangerous or unacceptable about that. A community [i.e. Rome] is calling its very being into question when it suddenly declares that what until now was its holiest and highest possession is strictly forbidden and when it makes the longing for it seem downright indecent.” (Ratzinger Salt of the Earth (1997)
If these are the thoughts of the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (future Pope Benedict XVI) it is not possible to hold that the SSPX is schismatic for holding the same beliefs and striving to preserve "the holiest and highest possession".
The author states up-front, that his only interaction with the SSPX are acquaintances and students. The treatment of the controversy would be more balanced after …Okunengi
