The Vatican has released the programme for Leo XIV’s visit to Latin America, his longest foreign trip to date. On Monday, the Vatican released the detailed itinerary for Leo XIV’s November 6–17 visit to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru. Over nearly 12 days, Leo XIV will travel roughly 31,000 kilometres by air, with stops in: - Montevideo, Paysandú and Florida in Uruguay; - Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Luján in Argentina; - Lima, Chiclayo, Cusco and Pucallpa in Peru. The packed schedule includes nine public Masses and three prayer vigils, as well as meetings with political leaders, bishops, clergy, young people, workers and representatives of other Christian communities and religions. All three legs combine official state visits with pastoral visits. In Uruguay, November 6–8, Leo will visit the socially disadvantaged Casavalle area of Montevideo, hold a vigil at the Estadio Centenario and celebrate Mass at the national Marian shrine in Florida.
