Pavel had lied and said, Russia wanted to suppress and control him. I thought that was pretty underhanded of him to lie like that and try to make out as if Russia was trying to control him. They were trying to get him to block terrorists. But he kept refusing. There are also scams from Ukraine wiping out bank accounts on the elderly and young women. Just like they do everywhere else. Including America! I was not happy with his lying about Russia. And I don't trust him. He refused to block anyone who was dangerous. Then what's there to trust?

Telegram founder wanted in Russia for enabling Ukrainian terrorism

The Federal Security Service has accused Pavel Durov of facilitating the recruitment of dozens of criminals on his platform Telegram founder Pavel Durov is wanted in Russia for allegedly allowing Ukrainian special services to recruit Russian citizens for terrorist activities, the Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on Wednesday. The accusation was brought up over an investigation into a particular Telegram channel dedicated to dating. According to the FSB, Ukrainian agents routinely posed there as romantically-inclined girls seeking minor gifts from potential suitors. After paying for one, the target would then be pressured by the Ukrainians posing as Russian law enforcement, claiming that they had unwittingly helped Kiev’s war efforts, but could get some slack by cooperating with fake officials. That way, confused young men could be pushed into carrying out actual crimes, like arson attacks or serving as couriers for money laundering. Durov was singled out as the platform’s owner …

Why You Won’t Be Able To Afford Food By Winter
$40 for a fruit tray and $7 for a single can of vegetables isn’t just "inflation" it’s a warning sign of a system in total collapse. Across the globe, families are being forced to put basic survival needs on credit cards and payday loans just to keep a meal on the table. A global crop failure is colliding with a 1930s-style Dust Bowl repeat standing on the precipice of massive civil unrest and history shows us exactly what happens when the masses go hungry.

Nudity at the Cathedral Steps? What Happened at Santa Ana Square | SG News
What recently took place at Santa Ana Square in front of the Cathedral of Santa Ana in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, has raised deep concerns among believers. As Christians, how do we balance loving everyone with standing firm for the dignity and sanctity of God's house? Watch to learn more and join the prayer for reverence and clarity. 📢 Stay Updated with @SGNEWS-SG – Faith, Society & Global Christian Perspective

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 11,19-27.
Many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them about their brother [Lazarus, who had died].
When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went to meet him; but Mary sat at home.
Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.
But even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you."
Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise."
Martha said to him, "I know he will rise, in the resurrection on the last day."
Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live,
and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
She said to him, "Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who is coming into the world."

At least the priest didn't give him Holy Communion - though the man held out his hand in expectation. Obviously he wasn't a Catholic.

The heat has already become one of the main sources of discontent among visitors. On social media, comments from tourists in various languages are multiplying, complaining about high temperatures in the galleries, made worse by the huge influx of people who travel the unique exhibition route every day...
...According to reports circulating in museum circles, in recent days there was a malfunction of the system in the room dedicated to Henri Matisse, where the original preparatory cartoons for the stained glass windows of the Chapel of the Rosary in Vence are kept. These are particularly delicate works. Matisse made these large cartoons by applying and gluing colored, cut papers onto a base support, a technique that makes the material especially sensitive to temperature changes and, above all, to humidity. Again according to reports, the malfunction caused hot and humid air to enter the room just as Rome was experiencing extreme temperatures outside. Some photos taken by tour guides …More

Balancing Art Preservation and Summer Heat in the Vatican Museums

The heatwave that will hit Rome in the coming days also risks putting pressure on the Vatican Museums. While the Ministry of Health is forecasting red-alert days outside, inside the largest museum complex of the Holy See, the heat has already become one of the main sources of discontent among visitors. On social media, comments from tourists in various languages are multiplying, complaining about high temperatures in the galleries, made worse by the huge influx of people who travel the unique exhibition route every day. The discomfort has a clear explanation. For several months now, the Vatican Museums have been carrying out a major modernization of the air conditioning system, aimed at finally covering both the lower and upper galleries, where cooling has so far been absent or only partial. This is a very complex project that has inevitably, on some days, led to the temporary shutdown or limitation of certain systems, leaving entire areas more exposed than others to the summer heat. Depressive Former Medjugorje Believer Arrested for Vandalizing the Shrine

A 31-year-old Polish man, identified by regional media as Bartłomiej Włodzimierz Krakowiak, has been arrested for vandalizing the Marian shrine of Medjugorje during the night of 27–28 July, just days before Mladifest, which is expected to attract around 50,000 young pilgrims.
"Medjugorje Is a Deception"
The suspect allegedly poured black paint over statues of the Virgin Mary on Apparition Hill and at the Blue Cross, wrote "Devil in a skirt" on one statue. He hung banners accusing the six visionaries of being "frauds - I have proof", spray-painted slogans including "Medjugorje is a deception," "Only Jesus," and "Mary = devil," and set fire to the recently renovated outdoor altar behind St. James Church.
He was arrested hours later in Černo, near Ljubuški, heading toward the Croatian border.
Former Pilgrim
The case is particularly striking because the suspect had previously visited Medjugorje as a pilgrim. Regional media report that in 2017 he walked 1,300 km from Warsaw to the shrine, …More

Pope Saint Victor I | The African Pope Who Strengthened Church Unity | Feast Day July 28 ✝️
Today, the Church honours Pope Victor I, whose feast day is celebrated on July 28. Saint Victor I served as Bishop of Rome from approximately AD 189 to 199. Born in Roman Africa, he is recognised as one of the early African popes, reminding us that from the earliest centuries the Catholic Church embraced believers from many nations and cultures. During his papacy, one of the greatest challenges facing the Church was disagreement over the date of the celebration of Easter. Different Christian communities followed different customs. Pope Victor worked tirelessly to promote a common celebration of the Lord's Resurrection, emphasising the importance of unity within the universal Church. Although his approach was sometimes firm, his efforts helped pave the way for greater unity in Christian worship. Saint Victor also defended the true faith against false teachings that threatened the Church and …More
